Post Formatting

The Post Formatting area of your Project Configuration holds many critical settings essential to proper posting to your sites. You should take your time when configuring the Post Settings area and be sure to double check everything once finished.

Data Source Order
The Data Source Order drop-down list allows you to choose the posting order of the main content sections (Content, XML Feeds (ie; Rss/Atom) or Search Results). The Data Source Order drop-down list contains random and pre-configured combinations from which you can choose.

NOTE: Only Active (checked) sections will be included for posting Content, XML Feeds and Search Engine Results . Inactive (unchecked) sections will be ignored.  These sections are displayed further below the Post Formatting section. To activate them, simply click the check box on the left hand side of each section you want to activate/deactivate. The configurations for these settings are addressed elsewhere in the manual.

NOTE: The Data Source Order does not affect the sub-ordering of items (datafeeds, articles, etc.) you can set in the Content area below the Post Settings area.

Maximum Keyword Density

Enter in the maximum keyword density percentage in the box. Content Farmer Pro™ will randomly remove instances until the percentage is under the maximum you enter here. Setting this too low may result in no keywords for short text posts.

Maximum Post Length
Enter the maximum number of characters you will allow in a given post. Content Farmer Pro™ will trim words in the post so that it has fewer characters than the maximum you have input. The system will try not to break apart ending words. Be aware however, that it MAY break HTML tags.

Remove Duplicate Non-Alphanumeric Chars
By checking this box, Content Farmer Pro™ will remove most non-alphanumeric characters which repeat. The few exceptions are to ensure HTML and URLs aren't broken by the replacement.

Remove Detected Redirect URLs
If checked, Content Farmer Pro ™ will attempt to remove URLs where redirection is detected. For instance, the URL http://www.contentfarmerpro.com/my-script.php?send_to=http://www.teratask.com/ would be treated as a redirect URL and converted to http://www.teratask.com/.

Remove Empty Tags

Strips HTML tags which are not self-closing (e.g. <br />) and have no inner content (e.g. <div></div>). This will cause videos and Flash tags which use <PARAM> and <EMBED> tags to disappear, so either make them self-closing or do not use this option.

Bold & Capitalize Keyword

From the respective drop-down menu, choose the frequency with which you want keywords bolded or capitalized in your posts.

Reformat Keyword
When you select an entry other than "No" a text box called "Keyword Reformat Blocks" will appear. List one reformat per line. One of the one-line entries from this box will randomly be used when making replacements in your posts as indicated by your choice in the reformat keyword drop-down menu.

Link Keyword to URL
When you select an entry other than "No" the keyword link URLs box appears. Enter one URL per line. One of the URLs will be used with the attributes entered into the Link Attributes box to replace an instance of the keyword according to the frequency selected in the drop-down.

Link Attributes
These attributes will be inserted into the keyword links.
